The month of April was important for Fanatic Games for several reasons. One of them is the extension of a long-term cooperation with our German client. Another significant event is the increase in the number of artists in one of our long-term collaborations. We have also started two new collaborations, one of which is focused on the processing of realistic clothing, and the other one on the processing of airport surroundings. At present, we are pleased to say that we are fully booked and are already planning projects for the coming months.

Activision together with Infinity War has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the 47th Call of Duty since its first 2003 release. It will be a direct sequel to the Modern Warfare 2019 game and the release date will be scheduled for this year’s October. Activision Blizzard is announcing the game very early to the year, as the last year Call of Duty Vanguard is not having as big a success as they had hoped, with the sales being even lower than those of Black Ops Cold War.
From Software might be of interest to Sony, as rumours claim that the Japanese company is setting up an acquisition of this studio. Hidetaka Miyazaki’s studio is mostly known for its souls-like videogames like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. If the rumour is true, Sony would equalize Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard which will be completed in the following weeks or months.
CD Projekt RED’s reports of sales indicate that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 40 million copies as of now. Very well is also doing the 2020 failure Cyberpunk 2077 whose sales are estimated to be over 18 million copies. However, considering that Cyberpunk 2077 sold 14 million at its launch, the 18-million mark does not look so impressive.
Epic Games has announced that it has received a $1 billion investment from Sony. The father of PlayStation, according to the press release, wants to create “new social entertainment exploring the connection between digital and physical worlds.” This is the second investment of Sony. Back in 2020, Sony invested $250 million.

CD Projekt RED has announced the sales numbers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 which, on the first glance, seem very impressive. However, Jason Schreier thinks otherwise, at least about Cyberpunk’s numbers: “This is a fascinating number. Because it seems at first glance to be pretty huge! But then you go back and see that Cyberpunk 2077 sold ~14 million copies at launch and you realize that it’s actually a big disappointment — a game whose tail was crushed by poor word of mouth.”
In the last couple of months, many huge games were released. Among them, there is Dying Light 2: Become Human which managed to sell over 5 million copies during its launch month.
Released on October 24, 2005, Vietcong 2 was developed by Pterodon and Illusion Softworks and published by 2K Games for Microsoft Windows. It is set during the Vietnam War and is a direct sequel to the first Vietcong game, released in 2003. The story itself takes place during the Tet Offensive in Hue and the player assumes the role of an American MACV soldier Daniel Boone.
